The Praxis Foundation course is aimed at project managers or those who aspire to such a role. It is also suitable for anyone who is involved in the conception, creation and delivery of a project.

The Practitioner course delves into the application of common project, program, and portfolio processes. This includes all the management areas, as well as project capability and maturity. It is also the second step in the process to becoming a Chartered Project Professional for those following the Praxis Framework route.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific pre-requisites for foundation. Some appreciation of the ideas and principles of services may be useful to provide context.

 

To undertake the practitioner exam, you must have successfully undertaken the foundation course and have successfully completed it.

Audience

This PRAXIS™ bundle is aimed at project managers or those who aspire to such a role. It is also suitable for anyone who is involved in the conception, creation and delivery of a project.  This course suits:

  • Practising project or program managers.
  • Project or program team members wishing to become managers.
  • Individuals interested in a career in project or program management.
  • Individuals pursuing the Praxis Framework Practitioner Certificate.
Delivery Strategy - Instructor Led

This five day course blends theory with case studies and practical activities to aid learning.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, delegates will possess in-depth knowledge of the PRAXIS™ Framework:

  1. The characteristics and context of a project and a program and the benefits of effective project and program management.
  2. The purpose of the PRAXIS™ Framework, the project and program roles, documents and functions, and their use in the PRAXIS™ process models.
  3. The goals and activities within the PRAXIS™ Framework process models and how they interface.
  4. The importance and goals of interpersonal skills in the project and program environment, and their recognised models.
  5. Understand the relationships between the roles, documents, functions, techniques and processes
  6. Be able to apply the roles, functions, techniques and processes to a P3 scenario
  7. Be able to create and assess P3 documents for a given scenario
Exam Format

Foundation:

  • 75 multiple-choice questions.
  • 60 minutes duration.
  • Closed book.
  • 50% pass mark (38 marks out of 75).

Practitioner:

  • Complex multiple-choice questions
  • 2 ½ hours duration
  • Open book (only the Praxis Framework can be referred to)
  • 50% pass mark (40 marks out of 80)
Certification Requirement(s)

Students will receive their certification upon successful sitting of both exams.
