Course Overview

This one-day international certification course covers everything a student needs to know about Scrum. This is the ultimate introduction course for beginners to Scrum and agile project management; and a great course for those who have worked with Scrum, but never attended training and need a “structured picture” of what Scrum and agile project management are all about.

Scrum is a framework for developing, delivering and sustaining complex products. According to the Scrum Guide™, Scrum is a framework within which people can address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.

Within a Scrum framework, the Scrum team is made up of a Product Owner, the Development Team and a Scrum Master. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team.

This Agile Business Consortium Scrum Essentials course has been developed by APMG in partnership with the Agile Business Consortium: www.agilebusiness.org and supplements the existing Agile Business Consortium Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner certifications.

This course is aligned to The Scrum Guide – The Definitive Guide to Scrum: The Rules of the Game, © 2020 Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland.

Once completed; students can write an online, proctored exam which leads to an internationally recognised certification.

The Agile Business Consortium is the Professional Body for business agility.  They are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to define, unite and grow the field of business agility.
