Course Objectives

This two (2) day course is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively and efficiently assign duties in the workplace. Additionally, participants will be exposed to methods of appraising work performance and learn ways to practically apply these skills in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to;

  1. Describe six types of work instruction and how they help managers assign duties more effectively.
  2. Describe the purpose and process of delegation.
  3. Explain why facilitating employee performance and work outcomes is an integral part of every manager's job.
  4. Describe the features of an effective performance appraisal.
  5. Outline strategies managers can use to correct underperformance and reach agreement about performance standards.
  6. Discuss the purpose and value of performance plans.
