Change Management for Managers

Course Objective

In today's constantly changing world, managers are required to be effective change managers. Change Management for Managers is accredited training designed to provide team leaders, supervisors and other managers of people, with the skills and knowledge to successfully manage change.

The course presents three individual units of competency with pathways to complete Leadership and Management qualifications at Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. Participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for each unit after successful completion of assessments.

The course covers three units for managing change which enhance specific skill areas in change management. There is some flexibility in terms of adding specific skills units to be undertaken.

The course will provide participants with practical tools and techniques to manage change and give more certainty for achieving the benefits of the change.

This three (3) day course is highly practical, blending theory with activities to aid learning.

  • BSBLDR503 - Communicate with influence (Release 1)

Learning Outcomes

  1. Understand strategic change and how to develop, implement and evaluate change management strategies.
  2. Understand the aspects for leading and facilitating change and use established change frameworks and models.
  3. Understand the effects of change on the individual and facilitate change by engaging effectively with stakeholders.
  4. Understand the key aspects for a change management plan.
  5. Gain an understanding of the principles, structures and processes of project management to successfully deliver change projects.
  6. Understand how to communicate with different behavioural styles, how to listen, negotiate persuasively, lead and participate in meetings and make effective presentations.

Delivery Strategy

The course will be delivered as a three (3) day interactive workshop led by one of our experienced trainers.

The workshop contains a student workbook, accompanying information, additional reading, written activities, reflective tasks and a series of PowerPoint slides.

If preferred, the course may be restructured to add other appropriate units of competency.

Assesment Requirements

Each unit of competency listed above includes a formal assessment. A formal Statement of Attainment will be awarded for each unit upon a participant successfully completing the assessment post course.

The assessment comprises two components: underpinning knowledge questions and documentary evidence showing application of the learning on the job. The assessment is designed to reinforce the learning and competency is assessed against the national competencies for the applicable unit (refer www.training.gov.au).
