
The Australian and State Governments as well as independent industry organisations are committed to developing the level of skill in the workforce. Governments provide funding which is directed towards meeting the skills needs in priority industry areas and also make funding available to assist job seekers gain employment. Industry bodies offer funding to target particular skills needs in their respective industries.
Institute of Management can offer training under the following funded initiative:
IM is again an approved provider of subsidised training in 2018 for Smart and Skilled NSW under the Targeted Priorities Full Qualifications Program. This training is subsidised by the NSW Government (Department of Industry).
For training commencing from 1 January 2018, IM can offer funded training places to eligible students for the following full qualifications:

BSB41015 - Certificate IV in Human Resources
BSB42015 - Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

Upgrade to a Full Qualification!
Students who wish to complete a qualification can also access Smart and Skilled funding and will be granted a Credit Transfer for units already completed or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if they can demonstrate prior learning and experience.
Credit Transfer and RPL will reduce the student fee required and a new fee will be determined.

Construction of the Darwin Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant began in June 2003 and the plant was commissioned in the first quarter 2006 when LNG sales commenced. A 502 kilometre subsea pipeline connects the Bayu-Undan offshore facility to the Darwin LNG plant in Darwin.

Georgiou is building Woodside’s Greenfield LNG processing site which involves 4 areas: Effluent treatment Plant; Site B East; Road 10; and Road 5. The scope of works include construction of reinforced foundations (insitu & precast), reinforced concrete basins & sumps, underground cabling, piping, drainage, and detailed earthworks. The construction is employing some 1,500 people.
