Course Fee

Students are required to pay a course fee to contribute to the cost of training:

First Qualification Fee applies to students who do not already hold a post-school qualification from any tertiary sector. Declaration required.

Second or Subsequent Qualification Fee applies to students who already hold a previous post-school qualification from any tertiary sector.

Fee Concession

Available for eligible students who at the commencement of training:

No concession fees are available for Diploma and Advanced Diploma students. These students may be able to access Australian Government VET Student Loans for higher-level courses to pay their fees.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for Smart and Skilled, you must, at the time of enrolment, be:

Proof of eligibility - students must make a declaration of their citizenship, residency or visa status at  enrolment and provide evidence upon request.

Note: IM must sight or collect evidence for humanitarian visa holders.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT):
Opportunities are available for RPL and CT.

Notification of Enrolment Process:

This process applies to notify the Department about student enrolment in subsidised training:

Unique Student Identifier (USI) - students must provide a USI (IM can assist students with information on how to obtain a USI).

Consent - Prospective students must consent to the Department’s use and disclosure of student information. They must also agree that the Department may contact them after completion of training for purposes of evaluating and assessing their subsidised training. Note: The Notification of Enrolment process cannot progress until consent is provided.

Declaration - Students must make declaration in respect of the correctness of all information provided by them and confirm the RTO has provided details of the fee payable and all student information, including their rights and responsibilities and avenues for complaint.

Commitment ID - successful completion of the Notification of Enrolment Process will result in the issue of a Commitment ID.
